Société Générale implements the recommendations given in the AFEP-MEDEF* report of September 2002 on the corporate governance of listed companies.

Corporate Governance

On November 5, 2008, Société Générale’s Board of Directors confirmed that it uses the AFEP-MEDEF Corporate Governance Code for listed companies as the reference framework for its Corporate Governance Report, and that it adheres to the AFEP-MEDEF recommendations of October 6, 2008 governing the compensation of directors of listed companies.
The Group's Board of Directors and management committees have been governed by internal regulations since 2000, and a Directors’ Charter regroups the compliance rules that apply to Société Générale directors.
